Event: The U.S. Embassy in Cotonou has received reports that a demonstration is planned for Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 0800 to protest current events in the United States.
Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence.

- Avoid the areas of the Etoile Rouge, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs complex, and surrounding areas.
- Avoid demonstrations and large crowds.
